Amanda Visconti's Day of DH 2013
DH and Social Media
One of my preferred ways of defining DH involves community: digital humanities work is often more collaborative and interdisciplinary than traditional humanities research, and DHers actively use social media to converse and share news, blog posts, and articles.
Twitter feels like the main hub of DH social media to me. If you’re new to DH on Twitter, here are some suggestions for following:
- Me (@Literature_Geek), of course!
- A list of UMD English Department Faculty, Students, and Alumni on Twitter
- Amanda French’s list of DH women on Twitter
- Dan Cohen’s digital humanities Twitter list
- Attendees at the Fall 2012 MITH/NEH Topic Modeling in the Humanities Workshop (#dhtopic)
- Matt Schneider’s list of Society for Textual Scholarship conference attendees/members
- Rachel Donahue’s list of former and current MITH staff
