Taxes are NOT DH

One of the responsibilities of being a U.S. citizen working abroad is that one must file and pay taxes in the country of residence as well as file in the United States. I am useless at math, especially when complicated numbers are figured into the equation. So, I had to sit in an accountant’s office for three hours. Taxes are now complete. But that was a big chunk of my Day of DH. Let’s see if I can catch up.

Day of DH meetings


My day of DH began with the bi-weekly conference call of the Modernist Versions Project ( Board.

The MVP is a good example of how to manage meetings across continents and time zones. We have an agenda document to which we are subscribed, and at the beginning of each meeting someone volunteers to take notes and another to chair.

Finding a firm time that repeats consistently for all participating members seems to be the only way to successful manage repeating meetings across the globe.
