How do you Define DH? | To me, the digital humanities require an active engagement with, and constant questioning of the digital tools we use for research and pedagogy. Not just making online projects but knowing to use them, pushing the boundaries of what it means to read, write, and disseminate knowldge. A wonderful opportunity to make scholarship playful and innovative, taking advantage of material culture in immaterial ways. |

Bio | I’m a doctoral candidate and humanities center fellow at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. My dissertaioin examines the ways early modern printers and publishers manipulated the technology of print to shape new markets of readers and define their products as unique, social commodities. My DH interests include digital databases, online editions, and especially the intersections between early modern editorial practices and our own (both in creating critical editions and in mediating online tools). |
