Edmond Y. Chang (co-lead) is a Ph.D. in the Department of English at the University of Washington. His main areas of interest are technoculture, digital studies, cultural studies, queer & gender studies, film, teaching, role-playing games, video games, and popular culture. His dissertation is entitled “Technoqueer: Re/Con/Figuring Posthuman Narratives.” He is a lead organizer for the Critical Gaming Project and the Keywords for Video Game Studies graduate working group at UW. He has extensive teaching experience at the university level and has recently won the K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award for 2011 and the UW Excellence in Teaching Award for 2009. He is committed to creativity and critical thinking, interdisciplinarity, diversity, teaching as everyday activism, and using media, technology, and popular culture in the classroom.
