Bio

I am an archaeologist specializing in archiving and disseminating digital archaeological information and teaching and creating archaeological software.

I believe that wider understanding of software tools and better data organization allow archaeologists to better conduct broad scale analyses, increase access to data, and preserve archaeological data forever. To that end, I advocate for and share software techniques and data organization tips with colleagues everywhere I work, with an emphasis on giving colleagues skills for increasing efficiency and making the best use of data.

I currently work as the collections manager for a small archaeological repository, where I manage, catalog, and digitize artifact, sample, and document collections. In addition to my day job, I also produce video tutorials about software tools for archaeologists at http://www.diachronicdesign.com.
