About

I’m a second year PhD student in Digital Humanities at University College Cork, Ireland, where I’m a member of the School of History.  My research interests lie in nineteenth and twentieth century Irish and British social history, and my PhD is examining the the relationship between communities and land on an Irish landed estate using a variety of sources including maps, estate records, census returns and diaries. The tools I am using include Geographical Information Systems (GIS), databases and TEI.
